The Emperor's Will (New Fate Point Usage)
No one till this point has used the rule of spending a Fate Point to get a +10 on a roll. The reality is that it's just not all that great and I see that. So starting with the next game session, a player may announce they intend to spend a fate point before rolling. If this is a characteristic or skill roll (BS test, Scholastic Lore test or Command Test), the player will get a bonus to that characteristic or skill test of the Characteristic Bonus being rolled * 5. Example of this would be if Saint wishes to spend a fate point before rolling his Fellowship, he will be rolling with a +30 to his characteristic as his Fellowship Bonus is 6. For tests that are neither Characteristic or Skill Tests, such as Acquisition Tests, you may spend a fate point to add a bonus of the amount of Fate Points you have * 5. Example of this would be if Do-Roka who has 4 Fate Points wished to spend one before making a test to acquire a weapon, he would receive a +20 bonus to the group's Profit Factor for the roll.
